Professional Development:

For the past ten years, teachers of Leaps and Bounds have been providing professional development to over 10,000 teachers, support staff and ancillary workers in the Eastern Metropolitan Region and beyond.

Oh my god!

The teachers at Leaps and Bounds have built up considerable expertise in dealing with students displaying challenging behaviours within a classroom situation and managing these students to maximise educational outcomes. Our teachers are in high demand to provide professional development to whole school staff, beginning teacher workshops, conferences and seminars targeted at specific groups within the community.

Leaps and Bounds staff have provided professional development to such diverse groups as teachers, youth workers, teacher aides, doctors, police, and staff at Outside School Hours Care programs. Some of the professional development packages we have developed include 'Conflict in the Classroom', 'ADHD', 'Problem Solving', 'Games in the Curriculum' and 'Negotiation and Mediation'. These professional development activities are usually conducted after hours and funds raised directly supports Leaps and Bounds programs.

In addition we have conducted extensive safety training and program development for teachers and youth workers in the use of the Leaps & Bounds Challenge Ropes Course.
